We've found that some of our users are experiencing problems with their EstateVal on a Vista machine. It looks like the program freezes when sending a portfolio for evaluation. If you can update to version 7.1.1, this will fix the problem. Just install on top of your current installation.
If not, here's a way to make EstateVal menus work faster, at least until you can update:
- Go to Windows "Start" and select "Control Panel".
- In the "Control Panel" window click on "System and Maintenance".
- Now click on "Performance Information and Tools".
- Click on "Adjust visual effects" from the left panel.
- Select "Continue" in the "User Access Control" Dialog to grant permission for this User Action.
- In the "Performance Options" dialog, select the radio option for "Adjust for best performance" and click OK.
Now the EstateVal menus should appear as fast as they do on other Windows' systems.
To revert back to the old settings, just retrace the above steps and select radio option "Let Windows choose what's best for my computer" and click OK.
