An important upgrade to EVP Office -- version 7.0.1 -- is now available for immediate download from http://www.evpsys.com/software/. The latest release includes a fix for the corruption of portfolio files in unusual circumstances.

With version 7.0.0, if an ampersand was used in a portfolio's title or in any security description, EstateVal would report that the file was corrupt. Further, any other portfolio loaded after this error occured would be corrupted. This problem has been fixed and all 7.0.0 users are encouraged to upgrade.

EstateVal 7.0.1 also features our innovative Research Reports. Research Reports make discovering significant capital changes to your portfolio a breeze -- just enter your holdings, click "Date of Death" or "Alternate Date" under the new "Research" menu and EstateVal will produce a report in seconds, showing everything you'll need to know to make sure your inventory is right before you run the evaluation. Less important and historically significant items are listed as references free of charge; full details during a six month range (forward or backward from the Date of Death, depending on the report selected) are fifty cents each.

And, as always, upgrading EVP Office is free of charge. You can download the software or have it delivered to you on CD-ROM at any time.
